Normally, Facebook fans are just something you use to brag to your corporate friends about, but for Porsche the Likes are a source of pride.
To celebrate their 5 million Facebook fans, they've built a bespoke 911 using input received online. Because the German company has an 18% return on sales, it has the resources to pull off a project like this.
The project started out with the wide body of a 911 Carrera 4S. They the added white 20-inch alloys, lowered the suspension and added sports exhaust. But the most striking change is the Aqua blue metallic paint job trimmed with light gray accents. Changes to the body are not aftermarket in nature. In fact, the Aero Kit from the personalization catalog has been used to add a front spoiler and a fixed rear wing.
Now that this transformation is complete, the 911 built by 5 million fans will tour Europe's Porsche centers giving selected fans a chance to drive it.
