smart fortwo Edition Greystyle, New Clothes, Same Car

German carmaker Daimler previewed today yet another special edition of the smart fortwo, dubbed Edition Greystyle. In fact, as we got accustomed to by now, the same old smart fortwo, with new clothes and a few new accessories here and there.

Meant to be a demonstration of the fact that "a discerning individual style and joie de vivre are no contradiction," the new edition will be available in both coupe or a cabrio versions and with a choice of two powerunits: 52 kW (71 hp) engine with micro hybrid drive technology or a 62 kW (84 hp) engine.

Now, we're not all that clear how a set of 6 spoke alloy wheels painted in the same color as the bodypanels or yellow mirror caps demonstrate the "joie de vivre", but Daimler seems to be confident it does.

On the interior, the Edition Greystyle features fabric and leather with yellow accents and trim parts in yellow and matt chrome.

The gear knob and the three spoke sports steering wheel with steering wheel gearshift and yellow stitching are also covered with leather, exclusively for this edition. Infotainment is insured by the use of MP3-compatible CD radio smart radio 9 and smart sound system.

The smart fortwo Edition Greystyle will retail starting 16,135 euros in Germany.
