After presenting the nightorange version at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show last week, smart continues the limited edition frenzy with an exclusively-Spanish flavor of the fortwo called Edition 52. The car is already available for order in Spain, with prices starting at 10,950 Euros and obviously several exclusive features that sets it apart from the rest of the smarts.
The car is powered by the 1.0-liter engine that generates 71 horsepower and, in order to be as fuel efficient as possible, it will be offered with smart's very own stop & start system. The new series is called "limited edition" but smart hasn't mentioned how many units of the car will be built.
In addition, it will feature a wide array of equipment, such as air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors, alloy wheels and central locking. The Edition 52 designation adds navigation system with touchscreen, SD card support, USB connectivity, power steering, glass roof, leather wrapped steering wheel and many other features.
As mentioned, smart unveiled at the Geneva show the so-called nightorange model that comes with a two-tone finish - orange for most of the body and black for the tridion safety cell, headlamp trim, front grille and mirror caps.
Just like the Edition 52, the car is offered with several exclusive features, including electric power steering, heated seats, a lockable glove compartment, the smart surround sound system with six loudspeakers or the audio system navigation / multimedia with touchscreen display.
