Skully Debuts AR-1, a HUD rear-view motorcycle helmet, and beta testers are welcome to apply. Due to the massive applications, terms and conditions also apply, so if you want to become one of the first riders to test the Skully AR-1 you should contact the makers and tell them why you're the best of the rest.
Now, rear-view helmets are not exactly new, but Skully AR-1 brings a whole integrated system for all the HUD and communication technologies, and a rear-view camera with an 180-degree angle. While other similar helmets rely on mirrors and optics, the AR-1 takes things to the next level with noticeably better video quality.

The HUD is displayed just outside the rider's line of sight, making it both easily accessible, yet unobtrusive. The helmet comes with integrated speakers and microphone, making interactions with the computer as easy as it gets.

Voice control for calls, navigation and more is also present in the Skully AR-1 helmet. Now, all these come for a price, and the helmet is expected to sell in 2014 for more than $1,000 (€735), A&R believes, with both DOT and ECE certifications for use on both sides of the pond.

I bet this occasional ninja could find great use for such a helmet.
