We don't know if you've noticed this, but cyclists often drive Skodas. You often notice them on the highways with bikes racked up on their roofs. The Czech carmaker like its prudent and finically active customers and has participated in many cycling events, especially the Tour de France where they were official sponsors this year.
Skoda today announced it all also support the Prudential RideLondon event held this weekend (Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August). They will supply no less than 30 vehicles to the riders, including the Superb hatch and Estate, the all-new Octavia Estate, Yeti and Rapid hatchback.
Prudential RideLondon is a weekend festival of cycling designed to encourage British people to cycle safely and more often. Split over two exciting days, the event mixes professional riders and the general public in a series of competitive and non-competitive rides.
Alasdair Stewart, Brand Director for Skoda UK commented: “We’re very proud of Skoda's heritage in cycling. Our partnership with Prudential RideLondon gives us an exciting opportunity to demonstrate this heritage and be a part of a world-class cycling festival.
“Our cars are highly regarded by cyclists across the UK. The flagship Superb Estate is the car of choice for pro teams such as Rapha Condor JLT, thanks to both the impressive load capacity and our fantastic range of cycling accessories.”
