Skoda Rapid Hatchback Speculatively Rendered

To our eyes, the new Skoda Rapid sedan is quite a bland-looking car, which despite adopting the look of the much more eye-pleasing Vision D concept (the Mission L followed it - it was the former which previewed the styling language), it was far less successful.

However, the first of those two concepts, the Vision D, showed the world just how good-looking Skoda’s road cars could be, because despite it being a concept, it was not a far-fethced one, and in the same manner in which they only slightly toned down the Misson L concept and got the Rapid, we expect the former to receive a similar set of modifications before it’s called ‘production-ready’.

The Vision D hatchback concept featured a very steeply-raked (almost coupe-ish) rear end, which looked really short and purposeful, with a clean design. If they do stay true to the technique applied to the Mission L concept, the upcoming compact hatch from Skoda is going to be a real looker! They should also name it the 'Skoda Vision' - it's far better than 'Superb', for instance, is it not?
