Czech automaker Skoda has released a couple of photos of the all-new Rapid compact sedan for the European market, which will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show in September. The car will enter Skoda’s model range this autumn.
The sedan offers a five-seat layout and measures 4.48 meters in length and 1.7 meters in width, meaning it’s slightly smaller than the Octavia.

The styling of the car shows a new direction for Skoda, clean and more elegant, somewhat mimicking a modern VW Passat. It offers rectangular headlights and foglights, together with a new grille and a simpler winged arrow logo.

“This is a model which sets benchmarks in the compact saloon segment: The Skoda Rapid is a roomy, elegant and at the same time an affordable car for the whole family, impressing with clever solutions, cutting-edge technology and high economy. In short, it is a car permitting mobility in a comfortable, reasonably priced and environmentally friendly package. The right car at the right time,” says Skoda CEO Winfried Vahland.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
