It's Simple - How Not to Pull Your Jeep Out of the Water

We have seen all manner of towing incidents over the years, and all follow a predictable set of patterns they never stray too far from. This video is no exception, and as is usually the case, sheer stupidity played a leading role, in a situation which could have been avoided with ease, in any number of ways.
Here, we have a classic case of the rope being attached to something which is not ideal at all, when pulling another vehicle (out of the water, in this case) - the rear bumper. And if you were wondering and haven`t yet watched the video, yes, it does break, and it hits one man with some force, knocking him down.

Here, the fault lies with both the man, who was sitting in a very bad position during a power pull, like this, as well as those who attached the rope in the first place, as they should have known better than to attach it to the bumper.

Cars in general, and specially prepared off-road vehicles in particular, have special D-rings which are attached to the chassis and will never break. The question is why didn't they use that instead...
