The new Range Rover had to be lighter, bigger and better in every way, but its core still beats to a powerful beat, one which should still be capable of handling the rough stuff like no other vehicle out there.
Wanting to prove its might, the new Range Rover pulled the latest Airstream caravan trailer from England all the way to Morocco and back again. The journey took 11 days and required the 339 PS turbodiesel in the SDV8 to pull not only the SUV, but also 2,399 kg (5,289 pounds) of Airstream caravan over 3,676 miles (5,915 kilometers) in total.
"The new Range Rover’s towing ability is nothing short of stunning. It pulled the two and a half tonne Airstream like it simply wasn’t there," commented Ben Samuelson, who’s firm Samuelson Wylie Associates organized the trip.
You can compare the Airstream to a boutique hotel – albeit a mobile one – and taking this combination of rig on your travels injects some serious style and comfort," Samuelson added about the Airsteam.
