With each new yacht concept, designers continue to push the boundaries of yacht construction and reveal their vision of the future of the yachting world. Florida-based Norwegian designer Kurt Strand Design is known for one-of-a-kind designs, and their latest concept pushes the envelope in terms of luxury and comfort.
The newly-revealed Silence yacht concept is the result of a collaboration between Kurt Strand Design and Swedish interior designer Acoya Design House. It measures 77 meters (253 feet) in length, and its name is inspired by its electric mode feature that allows it to operate in silence for up to eight hours.

While many other yacht concepts come with a shock factor in terms of exterior looks and interiors that take luxury at sea to new levels as designers allow their imagination to run wild, for the Silence concept, Kurt Strand has dished out opulence in favor of the ultra-popular Scandinavian minimalism.

Embodying the very essence of Scandinavian design, this conceptual yacht is characterized by a sleek low profile, a gently curved sheer line, and lots of glazing for excellent views from anywhere aboard the vessel. As stunning as the exterior, the interiors of the Silence watercraft, penned by Acoya Design House, combine the simplicity of minimalism and the neutral tones of modern style with functional design.

Kurt Strand Design envisioned the vessel with a steel hull and an integrated aluminum superstructure. In terms of aesthetics, it was designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment, while the amenities on board were carefully selected to invite relaxation.

Dominated by elegance and unrivaled luxury, the four-deck yacht has floor-to-ceiling glazing and a simple floor plan characterized by openness. It is made for the ultimate yachting experience, so it is equipped with everything for an active lifestyle, including a gym, spa, and wellness area, as well as a large selection of water toys, including two 10-meter (33-foot) custom tenders, six jet skis, a helipad, and more.

The outdoor areas are packed with modern amenities, such as a Jacuzzi and an outdoor cinema on the sundeck. Actually, the sundeck is the main entertainment area of the design, offering ample seating space and a firepit as well. The foredeck houses a helipad, but the area can easily be converted into a sun lounge for guests to soak up the sun.

This concept boasts a seven-stateroom layout, meaning it can accommodate up to 14 guests. There is also sleeping space for a crew of 20 that will cater to their every need. The owner's master cabin is situated on the upper deck and extends to the aft outdoors with a private Jacuzzi and sunbathing area.

The spacious main saloon on the main deck opens up to the beach club pool and sunbathing area, connecting the interior with the exterior, and it also features a formal dining area for up to 14 people. It is placed next to oversized windows that offer stunning panoramic views.

Both the private staterooms and the common areas are infused with "Nordic refined simplicity," dominated by a subtle light color palette, sweeping lines, organic shapes, and rich layers of textures. The use of green, sustainable materials helps create interiors that are "anchored in nature," as the design studio explains.

Facilitating a deep connection to the surroundings was the main focus of the Silence's design, which explains the desire to create a balanced, calm space that offers the perfect ambiance to unwind while gazing at the turquoise ocean.

Silence is no slouch in terms of performance either, with the designers claiming it would be able to reach a maximum speed of 26 knots (30 mph or 48 kph).
