Since he is an American Professional snowboarder and skateboarder, Shaun Roger White has quite a large number of fans. So, he thought it was funny to fool them into thinking he had a car accident.
The 27 year-old two-time Olympic gold medalist posted on his Twitter account, a picture of the “terrible accident” along with the comment “'Really Lena [Zawaideh]... @BadThings #SXSW #itsfuntodobadthings’.”

Apparently, he wanted to make fans believe that him and his band called “Bad Things” were involved in an accident. The picture showed a Scion tC lying bonnet-first in a ditch and the four band members ( Shaun included ) around the vehicle, supposedly assessing the damage.

The tweet had such a big impact on people that it was favourited 884 times and even attracted the attention of the guys from Chevrolet. The company replied with the comment “ Looks like you're in need of a ride. #CatchAChevy is ready to pickup when you are. #ChevySXSW.” Yes, it seems that Chevrolet was pretty eager to help the famous athlete and his band with a vehicle.

Well, it wasn’t the case as a spokesman for Shaun told the guys from Page Six that the said car didn’t belong to the band and there was not accident. The band took the photo just as s joke and their van (in which they travel) was very much ok. What can we say, nice one Shaun!
