Have around $25,000 for a new cool car? Well, stile hasn't changed this year that much and Kelley Blue Book again crowned the Scion FR-S the best one to buy in its top 10 Coolest New Cars Under $25,000 of 2014.
“Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com again captures the full experience and affordability of the Scion FR-S with a top spot on its 10 Coolest New Cars Under $25,000 list,” said Scion Vice President Doug Murtha. “Drivers and industry experts continue to tell us the FR-S brings together the style, handling and elusive fun factor that’s needed in this segment and on the roads. We’re happy to deliver.”

What makes the FR-S so damn good? Well, being the same car as the Toyota GT 86, means that this affordable sportscar was made to put a smile on your face. Yeah, you could buy a hot hatch, but where's the fun in having torque steering and the looks of a brick on wheels?

At $24,700, the Scion FR-S comes with all the ingredients to make you go sideways and also be a good every day companion. The engine at the front, a 2-liter boxer engine made by Subaru making 200 hp, is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox (there is an automatic one with paddle shifters as an option but it kida spoils the fun) while the power goes to the rear wheels via a Torsen limited slip differential, all packed in a fierce-looking coupe with frameless doors, a big liftback at the rear to gulp in large bags, sport bucket seats and other standard niceties, like a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with multiple connectivity and HD Radio.
