A 500 horsepower car that now has 1000 isn't that scary. A car that was meant to have maybe 80 hp, doesn't come with traction control, airbags and ABS and yet still has 900 horsepower… no that's crazy.
This is why we have to give props to this guy who took a Golf 2 to 913 horsepower. But why? Why would you ever make a car with 900 horsepower? To scare a cute blonde in it, of course. Bet she never screamed like that when they gave her that tattoo!
The Golf Mk2 is equipped with a 2.8-liter VR6 engine which has been turbocharged, intercooled, remapped and fitted with every toy possible. Yes, it's still front-wheel drive.
