Volkswagen WRC driver Sebastien Ogier has recently pleaded the media to stop comparing him to his French ex-Citroen team-mate Sebastien Loeb.
Asked to comment upon claims that he will be the new Sebastien Loeb, after the nine-time champion semi-retired from this season's WRC, Ogier said he had enough.
"I don't think we need these comparisons anymore. I can tell you, I am not the new Sebastien Loeb, I am Sebastien Ogier. I heard so many times this comparison that I just don't think we need it now.
I think it's very odd to compare people that are 10 years apart. I am a different generation. If I was 10 years older and fighting with him maybe, but it's not like that - he's not here anymore," said Ogier at Rally Mexico.
After the first two 2013 WRC rounds in Monte Carlo and Sweden, Ogier leads the standings with 46 points, two more than Sebastien Loeb, who'll only tackle four events this season.
