Earlier this week, Spanish carmaker SEAT revealed their brand new budget sedan. The new Toledo is basically the same car as the new Skoda Rapid sedan and will arrive in Spain and Portugal in November, followed by the rest of the European market in 2013.
Prices should start at about €13,000, and buyers will have to look forward to an engine range that includes a 1.2-liter and a 1.4-liter TSI unit, producing 75 PS and 122 PS respectively, or the only diesel which is the VW Group 1.6-liter TDI with 105 PS.
The Toledo sedan comes with a bigger boot than you might expect, and that’s because it’s actually a nothchback, meaning the lid includes the whole rear windshield.
The Toledo ST will be a new wagon model that uses the same architecture as the sedan. Styling wise, there’s not much to talk about, as this is a family car for people who don’t want bells and whistles.
