Santoni SLS AMG Driving Shoes

Italian shoemakers Santoni recently launched a line of shoes specifically made for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG owners. The company is already selling a line of shoes inspired by the Mercedes AMG range with a sole designed to offer the most grip on AMG brake and gas pedals.

The Santoni driving shoes are certified by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile and are inspired by the design of the SLS AMG interior and exterior. They are made with leather and alcantara like the interior of the new Gullwing and are available in black, and soon in a variety of colors to match the car's body colors.

Production of the new SLS AMG Gullwing recently started at Daimler’s Sindelfingen facility, with most of its construction being hand-made, including the aluminium spaceframe, the engine and final assembly.

Powered by an AMG 6.2l V8 engine, the SLS develops 571 horsepower (420 kW) at 6800 rpm and a maximum torque of 650 Nm at 4,750 rpm. The car is capable of reaching 60 mph from a standstill in 3.8 seconds and it can keep on accelerating until it reaches 315 km/h (195 mph).

The unit is paired with a AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission with dual-clutch transmission, which offers the driver a choice of four different driving modes: "C" (Controlled Efficiency), "S" (Sport), "S+" (Sport plus) or "M" (Manual) along with a RACESTART function.

The car will be made available starting March and will retail from 177,310 euros, while the Santoni driving shoes are already available at large Mercedes dealerships and certain store selling Santoni products.
