Sam Longson Crashes in Desert Race, Rides 14 miles with Broken Ribs, Collapsed Lung

Off-road racing is extremely rough when you’re on four wheel, but when you’re only left with two, you’re really not exaggerating by saying you’re riding in hell. We’re here to give you a recent example that perfectly demonstrates this.
The man in the adjacent video is Sam Longson, who competed in the Best in the Desert "Vegas to Reno" race on August 17. He crashed just 14 miles before the finish of the 534 mile event - you can see the accident at 4 minutes 30, with the rider hitting the rocks with his back.

Longson was basically in the middle of nowhere, so he decided to get back on his bike and continue the race, despite the huge pain which was coming from a multiple broken ribs and a collapsed lung. He even managed to finish the race in 38th place overall, taking third place in his class.

The clip shows us the unimaginable ride, so if you’re ready to this (hard language included), just hit the “play” button.
