Salon Prive Opens Its Doors in July

The winner of the Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes of this year's Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the Aston Matin One-77, will make its first home appearance at the Salon Prive, set to open its doors within the premises of London’s Hurlingham Club on July 22.

The new creation from Aston Martin will stand along side the manufacturers other two latest creations, the V12 Vantage and the DBS Volante, but as is to be expected from such an event, Aston Martin will not be the only one parading its "best-of".

Maybach will bring along the new Zeppelin, inspired by the original Maybach Zeppelins of the 1930's. Powered by a 6.0l V12, the car will be manufactured in only 100 units. It will mark a milestone for Maybach though, as it is, thanks to its 640 horsepower, most powerful road-going Maybach ever.

Maserati will not skip the event either. The Italian builder will showcase its latest, the GranTurismo S Automatic and the Quattroporte Sport GT S. The latter is described by the company as being "a real driving machine in the guise of a luxury saloon”.

The Salon Prive is, as was the case with Concorso d’Eleganza, and was chosen by some manufacturers as the perfect grounds for the debut of some of their creations. Vermot Veritas, for instance, will be making a global debut with its V10 powered RS III super car, Lotus will be presenting the new Evora model, while Morgan will showcase the Aero SuperSports. The tuning industry will also be present, with Swiss company Sportec introducing the Porsche 997 based SPR 1 model.
