Aston Martin One-77 Official Photos

Aston Martin has confirmed that its latest creation, the already infamous One-77, will make the first public display at the Concorso d’Eleganza, in between April 24 and 26. The One-77 concept will be revealed at Lake Como, showcasing, for the first time, the complete concept, including full running powertrain and the world premiere of its interior design.

This is a major step in One-77’s engineering program, showing the first complete car, and will demonstrate new benchmarks in many different fields of automotive design," Ulrich Bez, Aston Martin CEO said in a release.

As we previously reported, the One-77 was first seen, as a technical illustration, at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. Equipped with the new 7.3l, naturally-aspirated V12 powerplant, mounted 100 mm lower than in any previous V12-engined Aston Martin road car, the One-77 is expected to provide up to 700 horsepower. The top speed is rated at over 200mph (321.8 km/h), with a 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.5 seconds.

Since the teaser-like unveiling in Geneva, the One-77 "has undergone painstaking hand-craftsmanship to be developed into a complete car", as the manufacturer says. "The craftsmanship and design that has gone into the creation of the Aston Martin One-77 lifts automotive engineering into the realm of art. With its finely sculpted forms and sleek lines, it is an expression of unparalleled beauty that embodies everything Aston Martin stands for," added Bez.

With a price tag yet unknown, but expected to be well above the 1 million pounds mark, the One-77 is the result of the British manufacturer's "money-no-object commitment".

Update on April 27: Aston Martin One-77 wins Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes.
