It seems that nobody has any regard for people’s safety in Russia - generally speaking, and road safety in particular. It’s no wonder then that people are trying to get rid of as many trees as they can (using their cars) from the side of the road, because the guys in this video (or others like them) will come and mess things up.
Who hires such incompetent people? Are they not tested first, before being put to work? They just cut the tree and hope it falls away from the road. Maybe that technique has worked a few times before, but it was bound to backfire, eventually - and it did.
