Russian Flavored MINI Cooper S Hits the News

Russian artist Denis Simachev and a team of engineers from Russian tuning company Topcar have tackled the MINI Cooper S and have created two different spicy versions of the car. The two vehicles are equipped with a new "Bully" aerokit from Topcar, which includes a new set of 18-inch wheels, an aluminium sport grille, a new rear diffuser and daytime running lights. Also side skirts are added, along with flared wheel arches. The engine control unit and the exhaust are both upgraded, as well as the brakes, which were traded in for Brembo units.

Denis Simachev's contribution consists of the paint design for the demonstration models. In the first model, called the MINI Cooper Bully by Simachev, the car features a heap of glossy black and pearl white, along with a carbon fiber interior trim. Simachev sees the future customer for this car as a person who "likes socializing and is desperate to attend fashionable gatherings and parties. A real 'party animal', he is just fooling around and looking for an adventure", reads the press release.

For the second model, dubbed the MINI Cooper Bully Moscow, Simachev used hues of blue and black, which change color when the angle of the light changes. The "Khokhloma ornament" paint scheme that decorates the bodywork is replicated on the interior as well. The graphics can, however, be tailored to each car buyer. "Each car will get its own distinctive character in order to provide the wide range of choice for different cities, personalities and ways of living", Simachev said quoted by the press release.

The MINI Cooper Bully will debut April 15 at Top Marques Monaco, while the Moscow edition will be unveiled April 17 at Simachev's Shop and Bar in Moscow. The cars will be produced in a limited edition of 25 units each, for a price yet to be announced.
