Russian Debut for 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera

Want proof that the Russian do it big? Go no further than this video, detailing the opulent debut of the new Porsche 911 in the capital of Moscow, which took place on February 17th. Really, who want to go to frigid Detroit or dreary London when you’ve got some of the hottest women in the world standing next to fine champagne.
And the ‘unveiling’ of the car itself isn’t bad either. Normally, at an auto show they play a presentation video on a screen and pull the wraps off a car, but in Moscow they did it big - bringing onto a catwalk-like stage a whole bunch of significant predecessor to the seventh-generation model Carrera we now know.

The 911 generation is built on a completely new platform, which is only the third since the original car. As you already know by now, the car is available in Carrera form, powered by a 350 hp 3.4-liter, and as a Carrera S with 400 hp. Among the technical innovations introduced, we’d mention the extensive use of aluminum, a 7-speed manual gearbox. Overhangs are reduced, and the rear axle has moved back.
