Roush Mustangs to Be Born in Canada

Roush Performance is one of the best gyms for Ford vehicles, helping them build up their muscles. Now, the company has extended its business to Canada, by licensing Key West Ford to "train" mustangs on Roush’s behalf for the Western Canadian provinces.

Key West Ford will become the exclusive licensed builder and distributor of Roush Mustangs built in British Columbia. The company will handle the cars’ distribution in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In addition to that, Key West Ford will also provide marketing and servicing for Ford dealers who wish to bring Roush vehicles in their showrooms.

There is a true performance culture in Canada. We have a lot of participating Ford dealers that just needed a more convenient process for getting their Roush Mustang built and delivered,” said Joe Thompson, Roush Performance vice president & general manager.

We spent several months going through vetting of our Canadian partners and are very pleased to be working with Key West Ford. They are committed to excellence on all fronts, including extensive training for the mechanics that will be working on the cars and establishing the infrastructure to support distribution and service for Roush vehicles in their territory. We look forward to a great working relationship with Key West Ford, and having them assemble Roush vehicles that meet the quality and performance of those we assemble, here, in Michigan.” the executive added.

The Canadian-built Mustangs will have serial numbers that are synchronized with those of the U.S.-sourced Mustangs. They will also be entered in Roush’s annual sale statistics.
