Rossi Scores Best Time on Day 2 of Sepang Test

Valentino Rossi looks set to conquer another world title in the MotoGP series and, if are to look at his new bike's performances during this week's test at the Sepang International Circuit, he won't have a too tougher time to achieve it.

The Italian rider again topped the time scoring charts in Malaysia during the second day of testing on Friday, ending another session almost half of second ahead of his nearest rival Casey Stoner. The order in the overall Top 3 did not remain unchanged as compared to Thursday's action, as Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo replaced Tech 3's Colin Edwards for 3rd overall.

We worked on the new bike to find a better setting and I was happy to be the fastest overall - even though this is just testing this is important for me. At the next test we will have a few more new things but we're already happy because we're fast and strong,” said Rossi after the Malaysia testing, according to Autosport.

I felt much better today and I was able to be fast straight away. It wasn't a big problem yesterday, it's just that after such a long break I forget how to ride a little bit! I need a bit of time, but it was much better today,” added his teammate Lorenzo.

The Friday running was heavily affected by rain in its first part. Only after the rain stopped towards lunch – and the track started to dry out – the riders were able to post some competitive lap times on the Sepang circuit.

Fourth and fifth overall were Honda's Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso, while Tech 3's Ben Spies and Edwards had to settle for 6th and 7th respectively. Here are the official lap times from MotoGP's 2nd testing day at Sepang:
