Rossi, Lorenzo Divided on Barcelona-Inter Champions League Semifinal

Tonight's clash between FC Barcelona and Internazionale Milano in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals will see the two riders forming FIAT Yamaha Racing's 2010 lineup in different sides of the grandstands. While Valentino Rossi is a well-known fan of the Italian champions, Jorge Lorenzo has stated his love for FC Barcelona on numerous occasions so far.

If one remembers correctly, the two-time champion of the 250cc World Championship has debuted a special helmet and leathers honoring Barcelona's incredible performance in the 2009 football season. Last year, the Catalan team won titles in every competition it was part of, including the Spanish La Liga, UEFA Champions League and Spain's Copa del Rey.

On the other hand, Rossi's passion for the nerrazzuri (Inter Milano) is also very well known between the Italian football fans. The 7-time MotoGP champion likes football very much and will most likely spent the evening in front of a TV, cheering for his favorite team.

Lorenzo will undoubtedly be on the Camp Nou stadium tonight, with his presence in the arena being “virtually guaranteed,” according to the official website of the MotoGP series.

Needless to say, football fans from around the world already know by now that Rossi will have the most chances of ending the night on a positive note, since Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan won the first leg at the San Siro stadium with 3-1. The Catalan side will be looking for revenge starting 20:45 local time, as they need at least a 2-goal difference win to qualify for the finals.

In case Barcelona will make it to the final, Lorenzo will probably book his tickets for the game first thing in the morning, as the final game of the season will take place on the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, also in Spain, on May 22.
