Staying true to the claim that Rolls-Royce only makes bespoke vehicles, the British company just announced that a one-off Phantom will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show and it will prove to the world, once again, what the double R badge stands for.
The move might seem surprising at first but taken in context, it makes perfect sense. ‘Serenity’ as it is called by the Goodwood-based manufacturer will basically be a way in which they growl at the competition, flexing their muscles to anyone daring to make a threat.

And that includes Mercedes-Maybach and Bentley. As a matter of fact, just recently Rolls-Royce claimed that they don’t see the double M as a threat to their position globally and that they are not worried at all. Well, actions speak louder than words and this move seems like a definite attempt to keep things in check and remind people who is boss.

As for the car itself, it is said to have been inspired by the silk road and the material in question, which is regarded by Rolls-Royce as an expression of class and regal power.

According to their press release, we’ll get to see ‘the most opulent interior of any luxury car’ that will encompass inspiration from cars ordered by Kings and Queens around the world. Combined with Japanese Royal Kimono designs, contemporary interpretations of European furniture will also be included.

It’s all just too elusive to make anything of it right now but we do know that there will be bespoke dials included along with silk headlining, mats with silk trims while the rear headrests will be covered in the same material. One thing is for sure, the teaser image shown looks rather intriguing. Be prepared to witness greatness at the Geneva Motor Show where the car will be unveiled on March 3rd at 13:30, during the press days. Visitors will also be able to check it out live between March 5 and 15.
