Rolls Royce Phantom, Most Popular Wedding Car, Poll Reveals

If you are about to get married and have doubts on the type of limousine you would want to hire for the wedding, then this might help you make up your mind. A recent poll conducted by British limousine hire company Limo Broker, revealed the Rolls Royce Phantom is the most popular wedding car.

However, the Phantom can also be used for a whole range of occasions including corporate events, red carpet functions, anniversaries, luxury shopping trips, and birthday celebrations.

The 2009 Phantom’s entertainment system, complete with DVD player, plasma screen, and RCA inputs for enhanced connectivity to the 12-inch displays, is what makes it the prefect choice for a perfect wedding, Limo Broker says.

Moreover, Rolls-Royce installed all-new front and rear door cappings and double reading lights in the C-pillar for better illumination. Other highlights include rear climate control, volume control and electric window buttons, all of them mounted on a special panel in the door.

The all-aluminum hand-welded chassis is propelled by a 6.75-litre normally-aspirated V12 which pumps out 460 hp and 80 Nm of torque, more than enough to move what is currently the longest coupe in the world.

This means the car can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds. The maximum speed is 155 mph (250 km/h), obviously electronically limited. But who looks for performance when a Phantom is mostly rented for its elegance and luxury?
