Bridegroom Wrecks Rented Lamborghini

On his way to church, a bridegroom crashed a £250,000 Lamborghini, which was rented for £8,000 by his fiancee for the wedding day. The bridegroom in question, David Gallucci, was driving the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, when he lost control of the vehicle on a roundabout an hour before the ceremony.

In fact. the Lamborghini literally took off as it hit the grass verge before crashing into a fence and flipping 360 degrees through the air, the Daily Mail reported.

Fortunately, David was not seriously injured and even managed to rush to the church and got married. He even waited until they exchanged vows to break the news to his new wife, Abi. The limited edition Lamborghini was written off after sustaining £160,000 of damage to the bodywork, suspension and wheels.

“When the car rolled up my drive I was in a state of sheer shock,” David was quoted as saying by the aforementioned source. “Neighbours were coming out in awe of the thing - it is so rare you'd be lucky to even see one in Britain.'I was in tears down the phone to Abi, thanking her for the gift. My dream has always been to own a sports car but this is in a different league.”

“I was mortified because I'd spent months arranging his present. But in the end I had to see the funny side,”
Abi said. “All the wedding guests were joking about what happened as the irony is David is the safest driver I know. I get trouble from him if I get the slightest scratch on an alloy.”

A spokesman for the company which provided Abi with the Lamborghini refused to comment on the incident.
