One of the major advantages the dirt bikes have over the casual street ones is their suspension array: long travel, sturdier construction, a special design that's carefully engineered to tackle obstacles with ease and allowing the rider to pass safely over rough terrain.
So we might believe that a dirt bike would have no problems in places where common asphalt machines would stumble and come to a halt. And we would be right, in case the rider didn't panic and crash in a very silly way in the very place he should have throttled harder and even ride standing to control the bike balance even better.
The speed was already high enough to make it past the pond in great conditions, and the bike could obviously have handled the bumps, too, if only the rider considered not crashing as a real option. We're sure he'll make it next time... after he changes clothes.
