Back in the days of 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8s, it used to take a lot of elbow grease and a motorsport team to come up with any AMG-based tuning project. However, a laptop is all you need to extract more power out of the latest twin-turbo monsters. They've shot themselves in the foot with that decision!
To prove our point, somebody has made a nice hardcore version of the Mercedes-AMG GT. It's got 650 horsepower, a big wing and aero effects. Basically, it's just like the AMG GT R that's about to be revealed, only with a lot more power.

Sure, we know that German engineers spent countless hours perfecting the chassis of the GT R to the point where it goes around the Nurburgring faster than... light. But the one by RevoZport has more power, which is useful for winning drag races.

The 140 extra horsepower comes from the usual tuning suspects. You start with an air intake, update the ECU and install a titanium exhaust system that helps the V8 breath easier. Or was it the other way around?

In any case, because titanium is lighter than steel, this update also has shed 22 lbs (10 kg) of unwanted Mercedes weight.

As you might have remembered, RevoZport is also quite good at making a body kit. The last one we checked out was for the CLA 45 AMG and a hot girl was installing it. We are missing that element this time, but beauty is not lacking.

Some crazy tuners use carbon fiber everywhere, but because the front air splitter is prone to scrapes, it's been made from carbon-Kevlar. How thoughtful. Everything else is done in the regular stuff, including some lovely side skirts and canard winglets.

Sadly, there's no diffuser or centrally mounted exhaust. If you are looking for that, know that the AMG GT R will have them. But there are other awesome tuning projects based on this bespoke sportscar, like the one from Prior Design and, of course, Brabus.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
