The footnote is simple: this is all wishful thinking, and in no way is the author affiliated with Dodge, Jeep, or Stellantis. However, we still felt this project was compelling enough to warrant our attention.
Unlike some other nameplates – like the Challenger and Charger, as well as the Ram 1500 TRX super-truck – Stellantis is not sending off all Dodges. Fresh for the 2024 model year, the Durango lives on for the 2024 model year, complete with the feisty Durango SRT Hellcat!

What was initially a one-model-year-only affair has transformed into a long-lasting model nameplate – Durango SRT Hellcat – that probably took by surprise all collectors and profiteers who hoped they could sell the 710-hp monster for a quick buck a few months after acquiring it. That's really nice when automakers exceed expectations, frankly.

So, who says that Dodge won't go out of its way yet again to accommodate something that no one asked before? Common sense, for starters, but that is a ship that sailed out of the automotive industry long ago when it comes to decisions taken in the offices of managers inhabiting the corner areas. Anyway, we are still pretty sure the Dodge Journey won't come back anytime soon, no matter if and how the imaginative realm of digital car content creators wills it.

For starters, the Dodge Durango's third generation became its de-facto successor when the American carmaker ended production after the 2020 model year. Secondly, it's also dead way too recently to gauge the public's reaction to the loss and warrant a reintroduction. Thirdly, Dodge already focused on a different segment of the crossover SUV market with the recent introduction of the smaller Dodge Hornet.

Oh well, that certainly does not matter in the parallel universes of CGI. Over there, Kleber Silva, a Brazil-based virtual artist known as KDesign AG on social media, has decided to have a CGI go at imagining the beginning of a new Journey, and nothing will stop him. Instead, he even doubled down on the Dodge Journey revival idea with another couple of additional Dodge models.

But first things first – let us discuss this hypothetical Dodge Journey revival. The pixel master used "the ruggedness of the Jeep Commander with touches of the new Dodge Hornet and Durango." The idea is not bad, frankly, as Dodge could easily try to fight the Ford Bronco and Toyota 4Runner or 2024 Land Cruiser for a place in the boxy SUV establishment.

However, the implementation is a bit too boring as the end result is nothing but a Durango with a slightly different styling – and it is neither menacing nor soothing, frankly. So, I voted down this digital project. On the other hand, there are also two different ideas that are still worth our while – the next generation of the badge-engineered Dodge Attitude subcompact sedan, which now takes after the Fiat Cronos rather than the Hyundai Accent or Mitsubishi Mirage G4.

And there is also the cutesy Dodge Avenger that morphs from a (now-dead) boxy sedan into a flavored compact electric SUV twinned with the Jeep Avenger. So, in the end, which of these three Dodge proposals is your favorite?
