Some cars, like the rally version of the Citroen C2, or this, the Renault Twingo R2 Evo make rallying for beginners very easy. The R2 features the Twingo’s already stiff chassis, with additional strengthening components, to make it both very stiff and very safe.
The car still uses the 1.6-liter engine which also powers the RS, however, it has been tuned to produce 190 hp and 180 Nm, without the aid of a turbo - no lag whatsoever. Coupled to the sequential six-cog gearbox, it makes for an excellent handling and very nimble and agile rally car.
While it may appear that it is a toy, it most certainly isn’t. Just check out the video and see how easy it is to take corners much too fast, but safely, despite the fact that the driver does crash at the end.
