Renault has just announced the introduction of two new limited edition in France, new Scenic Alyum and new Grand Scenic Alyum, both of which are based on the existing Dynamique trim level but also come with a number of special features.
Equipment highlights include 17-inch Schuss aluminium alloy wheels, a Premium Pack (panoramic opening electric sunroof, extra-tinted rear glass), a sliding central stowage unit and 3D Sound by Arkamys audio with MP3 playback and Bluetooth and digital Plug & Music connectivity.
According to the French manufacturer, the first units will arrive on the market in March 2010, but consumers who are looking to place an order can do it right now. Pricing is ranging from €25,650 (five-seat Scénic and Grand Scénic TCe 130) to €29,950 (seven-seat Grand Scénic dCi 160 DPF), a consumer saving of €1,440, as Renault claims.
There will be nine body colors available across the range, as it follows: Poivre Beige, Cendré Beige, Eclipse Grey, Cassiopée Grey, Platine Grey, Dyna Red, Moka Brown, Glacier White and Pearlescent Black.
A number of options will be offered as well, including Grand Comfort head restraints (€200), Carminat TomTom navigation (€490), the City Pack, which includes features such as front parking proximity sensor (rear proximity sensor standard equipment) + electrically-folding exterior mirrors (€350), dark charcoal leather pack (€1,700), xenon pack (€850) and metallic paint (€490).
Renault hasn't mentioned whether it intends to launch the car in other countries as well but, taking into account the previous limited edition models, the Alyum flavor will most likely remain in France.
