French automaker Renault has unveiled new details about the 2014 Clio Cup. Scheduled to go on sale in September, the FIA-approved Clio racer will cost €37,800 (excluding VAT).
Based on the Clio RS 200 EDC, the Clio Cup sports a more aggressive look, thanks to a new aerodynamic kit that includes a redesigned front fascia, a roof scoop and a new rear spoiler that generates nearly 40 kilograms of additional downforce at 120 mph.
Inside, the Clio Cup comes with a multi-function steering wheel, race-spec digital dashboard, Sabelt racing seat, and FIA-compliant roll cage. Powered by a 220 HP turbocharged 1.6-liter four-potter, the vehicle uses a Sadev six-speed sequential transmission, a Cosworth SQ7DI ECU, ZF Race Engineering adjustable shock absorbers, ventilated front discs and Brembo calipers.
