Renault will be a partner of this year’s 63rd edition of the Cannes Film Festival, with the carmaker developing a complex program related to the event.

“For 27 years, Renault has supported the development of the Cannes Film Festival. This year more than ever, Renault is partnering with the Cannes Film Festival, organizing a number of events to mark this legendary landmark in the movie calendar. In addition to loaning 140 vehicles to meet the Festival's needs, Renault will be present every day on the Majestic 63 beach with L'Atelier Renault and will give a world exclusive preview of New Megane Coupe Cabriolet,” stated the press release.

Renault’s main “actor” at this year’s Cannes Festival will be the new Megane Coupe-Cabriolet, which will be displayed at the event, together with others models from the Megane range, on May 21, 22 and 23. The cabriolet version of the Megane is scheduled to enter the market in July.

For the second year in a row, L’Atelier Renault will be present at the event, allowing personalities and professionals from the media and cinema world to enjoy “a cosy atmosphere”.

In addition to that the Cannes Film Festival will be presented in Paris at L’Atelier Renault, on the Champs-Elysees. Visitors will be able to follow live coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies and enjoy special activities.

Renault is also offering support for the Les Toiles Enchantees association, which is sponsored by actor Alain Chabat, as the automaker will provide transport members of the association and their projection equipment. This will allow children in hospital in and around Cannes to enjoy the festival with screenings of world premieres.
