Renault Wind Prices and Trims for France Revealed

Renault’s smallest convertible, the Wind, has officially gone on sale, with two trim levels available at launch. The Dynamique and Exception trim versions will be joined by a limited edition model from June 1, called the Wind Collection.

The Renault Winds will be launched in September in France, with the first cars expected to appear on the streets later that month. The entry-level version, called the Wind Dynamique, has a retail price of EUR17,500. The car has a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine, good for 100 horsepower. Standard equipment includes fog lights, rear spoiler, aluminium wheels, sport seats, airbags, power locks and power windows.

The second trim-level, the Wind Exception, starts at EUR18,500 and uses the same engine. For an extra EUR1,000, customers can get the 1.6-liter 16V engine that develops 133 horsepower. The Exception trim adds stability control, automatic climate control, 17-inch aluminium wheels and more.

The limited edition Wind Collection adds heated leather seats, glossy black roof, chrome exterior trim and more. The price for this top of the line Wind starts at EUR20,000 with the 1.2-liter engine and at EUR21,000 with the bigger engine.

The Wind Collection will be built in a limited edition of 300 units, with Renault starting to receive the pre-orders from June 1. The car will be available in non-metallic Glacier White or Pearlescent Black (metallic).

The 3.83 meters long Wind has a hard-top that operates in a similar way to the Ferrari Superamerica. Based on the Twingo, the Wind has only two seats. Boot volume is 270 liters, with the top down or up, very close to the Clio’s 288 liters.
