Renault Laguna Coupe Commercial: Imported from France

The Laguna Coupe is one of our favorite cars in its class even though it’s become a diesel monster. But the facelift is still a desirable car since its flexible and even when you’re in the mood to really floor it it won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
The facelift version has been launched this year, featuring LED daytime running lights in the form of a vertical “L” shaped bar. And now Renault has borrowed a page straight out of Chrysler’s marketing books to create a commercial called “Imported from France”. We don’t know if this is going to sit well with the Americans, but we enjoyed the commercial throughly.

Besides the LEDs, the 2012 Laguna Coupe also comes with new set of alloy wheels (a new 18-inch design also available) and standard sat-nav. The engine range is carried over as is with the exception of the base diesel, the 150 hp 2.0-liter DCi, which is less thirsty, thanks to the ESM system (Energy Smart Management) which lowers fuel consumption and emissions.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
