With everyone at the factories out doing their holidays, Renault F1 Team decided to take this opportunity to interact with their fans even more. Consequently, the Enstone team officials decided to open the doors of their factory in Oxfordshire to the large public, giving them the chance to watch closely what goes on in the Renault technical centre.
It will all happen between August 11th and 13th, as part of the Renault's plans to support the National Motorsport Week. For starters, we'll tell you that the tour is not for free, as it will set you back some £60 per adult, £10 per child or £80 per family. According to a press release from the organizers, 70 percent of the funds will be donated to the Motorsport Foundation.
Logically, you now wonder what can be seen and done in exchange for the ticket money. And we must tell you that the offer is quite incredible, as the fans will be able to visit the Computational Aerodynamics Research Centre, as well as the Heritage and Communication Centre.
Additionally, you'll get the chance to talk to some of the Renault mechanics that chose to stay at the factory over the summer break, get inside a computer simulator and drive around in Renault's F1 car, enter the cockpit of a real Renault F1 car and also take part in an interactive pit stop challenge and steering wheel starting procedure simulation.
Needless to say, the merchandise shop will be open at any time, in order for you to purchase gifts and memorabilia from Renault.
