Red Bull Front Row for Hungaroring

The two drivers of the Red Bull team chased each other for the pole position of tomorrow's Hungarian Grand Prix, managing to finish the qualifying session on the front row of the grid. Sebastian Vettel was the fastest, finishing the qualifying in 1m 18.773s (the only one to have managed to drop below the 1m19s time), while Mark Webber finished in 1m 19.184s, slower even than Vettel's second best time (1m 18.832s).

This is the 11th pole in 12 races managed by Red Bull this season, in a qualifying session which was pretty much free of incidents. The Hungarian pole however is regarded by the two teammates as much more important than the others, as it may secure the win for Red Bull.

"Ideally I'll just be able to go straight,” Vettel was quoted as saying by grandprix.com. "We found the problem from last week, where I didn't have a good start, and I'm confident we will have a good one tomorrow.”

“We know how important it is -- I was second last year, Fernando was on pole and if I'd been on the clean side it would have been a different race. But 70 laps is tough for the cars and drivers and there's no points for Saturday."

The Sunday Grand Prix will see the following starting positions:
