This nasty scooter crash is a bit bizarre, give the sudden drift of the two-wheeled machine to the left. There were no slower cars in front of the scooter to make us believe the rider wanted to overtake them so this leaves us with three possibilities or so.
The first one relates to the rider becoming impaired by a sudden stroke or simply no ,longer being able to control the bike because of flu or similar afflictions. We have knowledge about such things happening all of a sudden, and it would not surprise us too much.
Of course, we cannot rule out the ever-present substance abuse and falling asleep. This crash looks much like others we saw with drivers and riders falling asleep.
The third possible cause is plain stupidity, as the scooter rider may have simply wanted to drive in the third lane for no apparent reason, and missed checking his mirrors or do a quick shoulder check altogether.
