Rare 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS Convertible To Be Auctioned

The 330 GTS is considered by many the pinnacle of the Pininfarina-Ferrari collaboration, and has debuted at the 1966 Paris Auto Show, shortly after the 330 GTC was introduced at Geneva. Now, one of the only 99 units ever built is set to go under the hammer at the Amelia Island sale on March 12, RM Auctions announced.

The vehicle in question, estimated at $650,000 - $800,000, was originally finished in Oro Chiaro (Champagne Metallic) with Nero Franzi (Black) upholstery, which are in fact the exact colors that it displays today. It was also factory-equipped with air conditioning.

An extensive restoration job was reportedly undertaken in 1998 and completed in 2007. The car uses a 345 bhp (SAE), 300 bhp (DIN) 3,967 cc Tipo 209/66 V-12 engine with single overhead camshaft per
cylinder bank, triple Weber dual-choke carburetors, five-speed manual gearbox in rear transaxle, four-wheel independent suspension including upper and lower A-arms and coil springs, and four-wheel hydraulic disc bakes.

In March 2004, 10561 was displayed in Class F, for open Ferraris, at the 9th Annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, held on the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton hotel.

Since the restoration was completed, the Spider has clocked fewer than 1,000 additional miles (1,610 km), and it has always been kept within climate-controlled facilities, today showing just over 66,100 miles (106,378). The car is equipped with a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio and its factory-fitted air conditioning system.

“Excellent in every respect, fastidiously maintained, beautifully presented and in discerning single ownership for the past 30 years, it ticks all the boxes of Ferrari desirability,” RM Auctions says in a statement for the press.
