32-year old rapper Lupe Fiasco has just released the visuals for the second single from his latest Tetsuo & Youth album, called Next To It. Created as a satirical jab at how women are used as tools to promote products and people who are never satisfied, fans can also see the artist siting next to an old Honda Civic coupe model from yesteryear, quoting “really tell the difference when a Honda next to it.”
Wasalu Muhammad Jaco on his real name, the rapper revealed the first song of his new album last year and it’s been less than two months since the second single hit the market. The visuals for Next To It see Lupe and fellow Ty Dolla $ign making fun of the average show off most of his fellow artists do in their videos.
Long story short, the new video talks about all these situations when nothing “ain’t s**t” without something else next to it (what?). And the cars are obviously part of the list when Fiasco goes: “Really tell a difference when a Honda next to it/ But a Hond is the shit when you jogging next to it.”
Even though we’re not the best rap consumers out there, for some reason Lupe Fiasco is one of the artists that make those vulgar and misogyny lyrics sound funny. And that is exactly what he did with the old Honda CR-X in the video, as well, so enjoy!
