Dozens of times now, we've forced ourselves into convincing people that some cars should become vans. Before we go any further with this story, let's just state for the record that the Evoque is just fine the way it is.
If we were to pick a Land Rover to transform into a van, it would be something like the Defender or the Freelander, which are cheap and economical. The Evoque would make a very pretty van, but also one that's very thirsty and with restrictive visibility.
Automotive graphics manipulator Theophilus Chin created three different shots of what he calls the "Evan", justifying that MINI already has the Clubvan. Building a van out of the Evoque is a pretty straightforward business. You just need new side panels without cutouts for windows. But selling a go-anywhere-and-look-pretty van is an altogether trickier business.
