Ram Battle of the Bands Starts on Facebook

The Social Network, as Facebook has come to be known, has been selected as the battleground for Ram's next non-automotive related endeavor. Called Battle of the Bands, the competition is aimed at finding the next star country band or performer. And if you're good enough, Ram will send you straight to the 2011 Rodeo Austin, to perform there starting March 11.

If you believe you have what it takes to become the next Toby Keith, all you have to do is record yourself and your band and upload the resulted video at the following link (of course, having a Facebook profile would help). Your performance will be viewed and voted on by Facebook users from where ever, until the millions of entries Ram hopes to get are reduced to 10.

The top ten best performers will be then judged by a panel of judges, who will select the best two and send them to get a bit of stage fright in front of the 25,000 people expected to attend the 2011 Rodeo Austin.

The one who gets the least boos! Will win a $5,000 prize, while the other will be entitled to only half that amount. But, who knows, maybe a record company thinks you're good enough...
