Try as you might, there is no way you can avoid hearing, in the following weeks, more than enough information about OnStar's most recent advertising campaign/competition called Push On Sweepstakes.
As of now, PumpTopTV, the service operated by Outcast Media at gas stations across the US, will begin showing a 30-second, full sight and sound commercial through which the people that are in the station will be informed on how the sweepstakes will work and what they can win from it.
The decision to partner with Outcast was made by OnStar because of the exposure advertising at a gas station is supposed to offer. According to an Ipsos OTX study conducted last year, 46 percent of the people watching the adds look at technology features first when purchasing a new car.
“This campaign is the latest example of Outcast providing a major brand with the ability to engage with consumers in new and meaningful ways," said Nathan Gill, Outcast chief revenue officer.
"Drivers who see this ad campaign while filling up at the pump will return to their car to face the safety issues and concerns that dominate our roadways. As a result, we will provide OnStar access to a very captive audience that is highly receptive to messages about protecting themselves and their families while driving."
The OnStar Push On Sweepstakes requires all those interested in taking part to press the blue OnStar button in the vehicle from now through May 31, 2011. OnStar will take it from there and at the end of it all you might get the chance to win a car of your choosing from the GM portfolio.
