PSA Peugeot Citroen has chosen to skip the Frankfurt Auto Show for the release of their latest concept - the VELV- and has recently introduced the car at the ADEME innovation forum.
We are talking about an electric vehicle that is powered by a 27 hp motor, which uses an 8.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. The car tips the scales at 650 kg (1,433 lbs), offers a driving range of 62 miles (1100 km) and has a top speed of 68 mph (110 km/h). PSA said that this is a development destined for car fleets, but nothing about production plans has been mentioned.
The company has a rather high rate of concepts that didn’t make it into reality, but there seems to be this year, the automotive industry has brought an avalanche of city car concepts, indicating that such a generation of cars is about to come and we couldn’t see why the French carmakers would want to miss this party.
