The brand new and highly anticipated BMW i8 is ready to take on the world, deliveries being announced to start in June in Europe and July in the US, marking a new day and age for the Bavarian brand.
The color choices for the hybrid plug-in are quite limited though and you can use the fingers of only one hand to count them, ranging from Sophisto Grey to Ionic Silver, Crystal White and Protonic Blue.

However, in my book, the only two worthy of your attention are the Sophisto Grey (that kind-of looks like Black) and Protonic Blue. The latter posed for some amazing shots for the guys from StanceWorks and you can enjoy their work in the gallery below.

As for the technical specs of the new car, you should know that it's the first ever BMW with all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive at the same time, thanks to its hybrid powertrain. An electric motor making 131 HP and 250 Nm of torque powers the front wheels alone if need be and it can join forces with a turbocharged 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder unit at the back that’s making 231 HP and 320 Nm of torque.

Combined, the two add up to 362 HP and 570 Nm of torque, make the car an AWD monster and propel it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds from a standstill, going up to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) thanks to the CFRP body and 0.26 drag coefficient. Prices start at $135,700 in the US.
