With the release of four-door models such as the Cayenne, Panamera, or even the all-electric Taycan, the Stuttgart-based carmaker has shown that its products have become safer and more family-oriented. To further increase safety and comfort for the smallest Porsche fans, the carmaker recently released the new generation of high-tech, easy to use child seats.
The two new models called Baby i-Size and Kid i-Size can be used from day one to four years old and come with a new, optional i-Size Flex Base, which increases safety and makes fitting the seat a whole lot easier.

Designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, the new carriers incorporate a harness styling which is based on the six-point belts used in motorsport. The straps and the sides of the seats feature discrete Porsche logos and come with matching comfort covers.

Both models are fully compatible with the new i-Size Flex base, which can be easily clicked into the ISOFIX anchorage points in the car.

This standardized system for securing child carriers is available on all modern cars and consists of two anchor points located between the backrest and seat cushion in the car. It guarantees a fixed connection and reduces the risk of the child seat being installed incorrectly.

To ensure increased ergonomics and safety, the tilt angle of the base can be adjusted, while the support leg is fixed in the footwell of the car for extra stability; its length can also be easily adjusted.

This base allows parents to fit the carrier quickly and effortlessly inside the car while also being able to simply remove it if they need to carry it. For newborns and up to 15 months, the rear-facing Baby Seat i-Size is designed to provide maximum protection and comfort.

It can be used for babies with a body length between 40 and 83 cm (16-33 inches), while the maximum recommended weight it supports is 13 kg (29 lbs). It also comes with a removable newborn insert which offers additional support and comfort.

To secure it, parents can use the i-Size base or the car’s seatbelts as the carrier features three built-in anchorage points designed specifically for this purpose.

As the little co-pilots outgrow the Baby seat, a larger front-facing option is available. The Kid i-Size can accommodate children with a height of 76 to 105 cm (30-41 inches), from 15 months to 4 years old.

It supports a maximum weight of 22 kg (48.5 lbs) and can only be fitted to the ISOFIX base. It features multiple adjustment options for the seat position, shoulder straps, and head rest.

For both models, Porsche offers matching comfort covers made from breathable and skin-friendly toweling cotton, which reduces heat build-up ensuring a pleasant seat temperature.

The new i-Size carriers comply with the latest ECE R129 regulation and ensure increased safety for children due to enhanced protection of the head and neck area in the event of a side or frontal collision.

In conclusion, the new child seats from Porsche look amazing, blending with the design of any model from Stuttgart's stable. More importantly, they offer increased safety and comfort while being easy to use.

Along with the i-Size Flex base and the matching comfort covers, they are a must-have for Porsche owners and enthusiasts.
