Prince Charles' EV Garden Party

This September, for 12 days starting the 8th, the Prince of Wales thought to give his royal subjects the opportunity to visit and spend some time at his own gardens at Clarence House, as well as in the neighboring Lancaster House and Marlborough House in an event called Garden Party to make a Difference.

Among the people expected to attend, among exhibits, musicians, speakers and entertainers, Prince Charles is apparently determined to sneak in several environmentally friendly vehicles. According to Autocar, no EV makes to be attending have been announced yet, but having EVs on the premises is meant to be yet another way to showcase the efforts made to create a more sustainable future.

According to Female First, the event will also be accompanied by a Glasgow to London race between EVs.

“I am delighted to be able to welcome visitors into my gardens, and those of my immediate neighbors, for this exciting festival. We have a fantastic team of talented curators who are helping us create an event which will, I hope, be both fun and informative,” Prince Charles said when he announced the event.

“This festival is just one way in which Start can help to demonstrate how we can all make a difference, however big or small the steps we take.”

Prince Charles is one of the supporters of alternative means of transportation. The Royal House currently uses Bentley vehicles which can run on biofuels. The Prince's own Aston Martin was converted to run on biofuels as well.

Earlier this year, Charles decided to make good use of the six original pistons of the Aston and turn them into... cufflinks.
