The first ever official BMW M6 wore the E64/E64 codename and was released not too long ago. Some people might argue that the original model was launched back in 1984 but since the Germans called it M635CSi and just the Americans gave it the M6 nomenclature, we’re sticking to our story.
The M6 came to the market back in 2005 and it featured the already aging Bangle design, causing Road and Track magazine to call it ‘defined’ by the man’s style. However, we think the engine under the bonnet of this thing was what defined it.

It was an F1 tech infused S85 5-liter V10 unit making 507 HP and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque, revving way above the 8,000 RPM limit and making a sound worthy of the seventh level of hell whenever it did.

Over the years, this block was used for many purposes, the guys from G-Power being best known for making it go well near the 1,000 HP threshold thanks to their superchargers. However, power isn’t everything.

The guys from PP-Performance and Fostla decided to join forces and create a better model that wouldn’t be force fed in any way but stuck to the same naturally aspirated, lag free character we’ve been getting used to.

Their version has 537 HP and 545 Nm (402 lb-ft) of torque, just a bit over the stock numbers but enough to take the Convertible up to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.3 seconds from a standstill. That’s more than impressive as the current model that uses turbochargers has nearly the same performance. The top speed has been rated at 186 mph (300 km/h) but you’ll have to pay €2,200 for the added performance.

Oh, and there’s the exterior color. While we might’ve gone for something a bit more subtle, the guys went for a matte yellow wrap joined by carbon fibre bits here and there.
